Monday, December 29, 2008 Candace Karu
Candace Karu is a writer and designer who
lives in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and New York City. In addition to her
current position as the Marketing Insight Manager for Cabot Creamery,
she is also a principal in Karu Decor, a residential interior design
firm based in Portland, Maine. She contributes articles to design,
food, and fitness publications and websites, and has been an Editor at
Large for Running Times and Maine Home+Design
magazines. Karu is Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Maine College
of Art in Portland, Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Council at New York
University’s College of Arts and Science, on the advisory board of
Z.A.P. Fitness Foundation in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. A devoted
long distance runner, Karu has completed 19 marathons including Boston,
New York, and Chicago.

Christine’s background is leading positive change in global businesses– engaging employees from executives to the front-line in remote locations. For the past eight years, since founding Impact Partners, she has spoken to business groups about how to Have More Impact In Less Time, facilitated positive strategic change– in multinational firms and large non-profits– and coached individual executives. Since earning her masters degree in positive psychology (2007), she has extended this work by guiding executives to unleash powerful, positive momentum
