Systems Will Give You Time

How much time does it cost you to do a particular task that you have done over and over but never documented the process?

Are you reinventing the wheel each time? Do you avoid delegating because it will take too much time to communicate the process to an employee or team member?

While each client is different, your processes are the same. Think about Starbucks. They have the same ordering process and the same delivery process in every store, yet you are different than every other person in the line.

How much easier is it to train a new employee or team member with processes in place? If you had a checklist for the steps to handle new clients, or hiring a new employee, you would be rest assured that all bases are covered, with no critical areas being overlooked.

As you go through your day, think about not “what” you do, but “how” you do it. Document the steps so that whether you or someone else does it, the client will get the same experience from your business or department every time.

Consider documenting all of your processes, no matter how easy or complex, and watch the time you save each day by going on autopilot and delegating.
