Where is the thrust coming from, that a person has to have a college education to be successful? Not all people go to college. Doing what you love to do will create a happy person who is a productive member of society.
Contributing from an innate flair adds to society’s prosperity. Everyone has different talents and abilities. Finding that path which enhances your own aptitudes and gifts is the key. Then locate the instruction, educational resources, or apprenticeships that support that creative proficiency. Rewards of monetary, material possessions and enjoyment in life come from inner satisfaction of being true to yourself. This is more significant than pursuing wealth, prestige, or letters after your name.
One week while watching biographies on A & E television, stories about the riches men in our country were told: the man who started McDonalds, the owner of Wendy’s, Mr. Marriott of the hotel chain, and Bill Gates of Microsoft. Only one of them went to college and none of them graduated. Their visions brought huge results over time. In the process of achieving their aspirations, prominence and affluence followed.
Our society needs countless different professions, careers, and livelihoods to support our diverse lifestyles. The threads of these various contributing vocations to our culture create a wondrous tapestry of diverse designs and colors. This tapestry makes a marvelous picture while supporting all parts of our lives. The success of all types of businesses, arts, and jobs provides a loving environment for everyone. Supporting people to choose what is in their soul creates a loving community.
People with college degrees today are willing to work at a fast food restaurant to pay the necessary bills. Property owners are receiving reduced cash flows resulting in loosing some of their property and maybe going bankrupt. A college degree is no guarantee of a happy life or financially sound life in the economics of the country right now.
The direction to follow is revealing your inspiration for pursuing the craft or work that is calling within. College does not mean success. Money does not mean happiness. This might be the perfect opportunity to follow your dreams.
