Help With Red Wine Stains

Want to Remove Red Wine Stains with a Green Product ???

A comment I hear very often is that a person wants to ‘go green’ but feels that the green products will not perform as well as the common brands on the market. We all know how difficult it is to remove red wine stains from anything. A customer contacted me recently to relate this incident: Her daughter works part-time as a cocktail waitress while attending college. She was bumped by a customer causing a full glass of red wine to spill all over her white shirt. She hurried out back to change into another shirt and stuffed the stained one into a plastic bag to take home. It sat in her car for a few days before she remembered to attempt to salvage it. She subsequently brought it home to get suggestions from her mother as to what would remove the red wine stains. They were both about to just throw it out, when my customer decided to just try some Nature Bright (Shaklee’s non-toxic laundry booster) on it. She figured that the shirt would be thrown out anyway, so it would be interesting to simply see what, if any, effect Nature Bright might have on this ‘now old and set-in’ red wine stain that covered most of the front of this white shirt. She mixed up some Nature Bright in a bucket of water with a tiny squirt of Shaklee’s non-toxic laundry detergent and put the shirt in totally under water and then left it in there for two days. At that time, she rinsed it out and threw it the wash with some other clothes, adding a little more Nature Bright to the wash as usual.

The white shirt came out TOTALLY WHITE with no sign of the red wine!!! She was so amazed that she called me to tell me the story. She loved the products before but now tells everybody about them and her daughter’s ‘wine incident’.
