Living Under The Influence by Deborah Pettis

“Living Under The Influence” is my first book. It is based on Galatians 5:22-23a. The inspiration for this book came from personal observations.

Today many people submit themselves to makeovers that are both personal and ones thatinvolve their cars and homes. There is nothing wrong with self improving or upgrading things God has blessed you to obtain. However, have you ever thought about getting a spiritual makeover, dedicating or re-dedicating your life to God’s will and way? I have heard people say, “It’s my way or the highway.” This suggest to me that the person needs a spiritual makeover. When you living under the influence of the Holy Spirit, you realize it is not your way, it’s God’s way. His way will lead you to a higher way of thinking, acting, living, and giving.

The other thing I noticed is not only are we in an economic, recession, but many Christians also seem to be in a religious recession. During the tough times in their lives instead of drawing nearer to God they seem to be going astray.Reading “Living Under The Influence” will not make all your troubles go away, but it will give you practical strategies to use in dealing with your problems. I give personal examples of how I triumphed over some of my troubles.

“Living Under The Influence” examines virtues a mature Christian will demonstrate daily. The virtues are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindess, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control.

If you want your life to be enriched, revitalized, and spiritually edifying, you must read “Living Under The Influence.” More information about the book can be found at”
