Hike The World Famous, 80 km Long, Bear Trail – A 5 day hike through the Oulanka National Park, a place so unpolluted and clean that several species of rare and endangered plant can be found, lichen, which grows only in places of very clean air, grows in abundance and the water is pure enough to drink straight from the rivers or lakes.

7. Drive go-carts On Ice – It’s go-carting Jim, but not as we know it!

8. Go Ice Hole Swimming – A traditional pastime for the natives of Finnish Lapland. First sit in the sauna until you are red hot and then go outside and jump into a hole cut out of the ice on the frozen lake. Very good for the circulation.

9. Sit In An Outdoor Hot Tub In Sub Zero Temperatures – The temperatures in the winter can be as cold as -30C. imagine sitting outside in these temperatures as your body is warmed by the waters of the hot tub and your ears need to be covered in a hat to stop them freezing up.
10. Go Bear Watching – The Finnish brown bear that inhabits these forests is a very shy creature and rarely seen by humans. The only way to really see them in their natural habitat is to wait in a hide for these magnificent beasts to come to feed.
