Understanding Weight Management 4 week workshop in Sudbury, MA
You want to lose weight but you just do not want to follow a diet out of a book! Learn what skills you need to get to a healthy weight and stay there.
Nutrition is much more than what to eat and what not to eat. If it was and we were robots we could just follow the rules and be in perfect health. Nutrition is about what we eat but it is also much more than that because we are humans and not robots. Plus each and everyone of us are unique in many ways.
We are all physically different. We may have more than one thing going on in our bodies. We are all at different emotional states. We have different cultures or ethnical backgrounds that guide us. And we live in society. There is food all around us.
So I say the same thing about weight management. Weight management is not just about what to eat and what not to eat.
For this course my hope is to revamp the way you think about weight management by educating and supporting you. We have four meetings:
- - The first class will be educating you on understanding weight management from a physiological standpoint and from a personal standpoint. It is a time to understand yourself, your eating habits, your foods, and your body.I will also introduce you to some good eating habits.
- - The second class will teach you how to be calm and present at each meal.
- - The third class will educate you on foods that are beneficial and foods that are harmful so you can make your own decision on what and what not to eat. Here I ask you to be patient. Everybody wants to know right away what to eat. But it so worth our while to first learn what new habits to have and how to eat.
- - The last class you will explore what goals you want to set for yourself, your motivation and support.
