Wireless keyboards and mice-why you need a backup
If you happen to have a wireless keyboard and mouse and do not have a hard wired set as a back up I HIGHLY recommend you buy a cheap keyboard and mouse (they sell for under $5.00 at many stores) justin case.
I can’t tell you how many times I have been put in a position of troubleshooting (my own stuff too!) and the batteries die in the mouse or the USB connection isn’t picking up. Many times these wireless connections go haywire and you can’t do anything with your computer unless you have a wired set available. You need to have hardware as a back up. Many of my clients throw out their old ones after they upgrade. I would just put those in a closet somewhere instead and wait til you need it!
And yes, after the technicians fix your other issues, we will set up your wireless again:)

Do you have your computer password protected? If notyou should password it asap. Why is this? Your computer in your house should beokbut what if your computer was stolen and sent off to a pawn shop? Anyone could boot up your computer and see what you’ve been doing and see all your data, taxes, pictures, etc.
Yes, a computer savvy thief can bypass the password, but it makes it more difficult. A regular thief just wants to sell your computer for cash, but giving them your info isn’t smart, so password your computer today!
