Spa Etiquette
Get ready to relax. Now that you selected an afternoon of bliss here are a few guidelines to follow to make sure you and your fellow spaees enjoy the adventure
Plan to arrive at least 15 – 20 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow time to complete any paperwork required, allow you to change out of your street clothing, and start to unwind.
Always arrive showered or use the shower facilities, if provided.
For a massage, you decide if you are comfortable being completely disrobed or prefer underwear. When making a massage appointment, be sure to request a male or female masseur.
Remember to speak in a very low voice both in the check-in area, as well as, if there is a lounge area. Depending upon the spa, some offer complimentary beverage and fruits. If you partake, clean up after yourself as well as toss empty cups prior to your departure.
Speak up. If you have certain concerns or areas that need special attention, notify the practitioner. If the pressure, music, etc is not to your liking, make it known.
Tipping, if your attendant listened and followed your instructions should give a gratuity of around 15-20% of the service. You can select to hand the cash to the practitioner after you are dressed and out of the room or handle at the counter upon your departure.
