Tune Up That Brain!

My oh my, I had
no idea what I was in for when I signed up for the ‘Brain Tune Up’
certification program with Dr. Bresky last week. My brain is so full of
information I’ll explode if I don’t share it with someone.

Are you pushing
50? Then you need a Brain Tune Up. Already having senior moments? Keep losing
your keys? Can’t recall people’s names? You need a brain tune up! It’s not just
for the aged. in fact his work is starting to be applied to youth also.

Check out this
wonderful man’s site: www.mybraintuneup.com

This man will be
the next Dr. made famous on Oprah. He’s already being called ‘The Memory Dr.’
and is a pioneer in the field of gerontology. No, I didn’t know what it meant
either, and I still can barely spell it. But it’s basically dealing with aging
issues. And he has a 9 point
system to help reverse the effects of dementia. It’s all about integrated
health – diet, exercise, brain exercises, art, music therapy, and much more.
And in his extensive studies, he’s been able to push back the onset of dementia
by an average of 5 years. Imagine, 5 years of quality life – not just for the
patient, but also the caregiver! With almost 12,000 baby boomers hitting 60
every day, we have a pandemic on the horizon. Dr. Bresky is determined that
that won’t happen. But he needs help.

With one in four
household affected by dementia issues, just think of the affect on peoples’
work and quality of life. Apparently 40% of those caring for someone with
Altzheimers or dementia die before the person they are caring for. Of
exhaustion no doubt!

For years I’ve
been fascinated by the brain – and the whole mind/body/spirit interaction. I’ll
be sharing more of what I’ve learned from various people, including Dr. Bresky
in follow up blogs.

I’m currently
seeking various sponsorship and grant funding to help get Dr. Bresky’s work out in the world, and train as many people as possible. Life is too short not to
live it to the full. With keys in hand, with names effortlessly rolling off the
tongue.

More soon!

Blessings,

Rachel
