Journaling Your Way Through This Recession

Just because
the world is experiencing a recession, doesn’t mean your inner life needs to
follow in its steps.

Writing is
one of the most powerful, transformative tools I have learned and continue to
practice to rescue me from myself. Over
the years I have adopted several different writing styles, which I will share
to ignite inspiration to those of you reading.

To begin and
in the spirit of full disclosure, I use to review everyone else’s life, in
great detail I might add, which did not get me to far in life. Once I became willing to review my life and
keep the focus on me, I learn who I was and what made me tick. This clarity about myself has been a
priceless gift. I usually do a full
review once year on new years day, I spend as much time as needed reviewing the
year, the ups and downs and the in-betweens.

Another
writing style is where I journal on specific challenges where many times the
resolution reveals itself as I am writing.
I really get to witness this when I am angry, writing helps me see that
I play a part in each and every situation, which I am feeling discomfort.

I have
written letters to God, others and myself.
