The Art of Healing – Part 6 Gratitude

Gratitude – a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation

We all have times of feeling low energy; of feeling washed out and depleted-of feeling that we just don’t have the strength to carry on. We may feel burdened by the challenges we face or the circumstances we face in our lives. There were times during training for the Boston Marathon – which is now only 14 days away – when I had no idea how I was going to find the strength to continue to answer God’s call to run the Boston Marathon. Whenever I felt this way, there was one word I focused on to gather up the strength, the courage and the joy to carry on – Gratitude!

I’m So Grateful – January 27, 2009

I’m so grateful to feel God’s love always there
Especially when I’m off balance and filled up with fear.

I’m so grateful for times God takes my breath away
With surprise – a coincidence – on any given day.

I’m so grateful to know that I’ll never fail
When I falter God’s there with Her mop and Her pail.

I’m so grateful for friendships both old and the new
That God has sent angels to help pull me through.

I’m so grateful for peace when I breathe in and out
One with God’s spirit erases all doubt.

I’m so grateful for guidance when darkness prevails
God sends Her beacon and wind for my sails.

I’m so grateful for contrasts the joy and the pain
God’s always renewing – I’m refreshed once again.

I’m so grateful that God can transform every strife
I’m so grateful that God’s at my center of life.

I’m so grateful God’s power is greater by far
To be center stage and be God’s shining star.

No matter the challenge, how low I may feel
God’s Truth pierces fog and Her Love She’ll reveal.

Then all of the joy and the peace and the love
Descend from Her Hands on the wings of the dove.

I’m so grateful for blessings, prosperity, peace
God sends what I need and Her Love doesn’t cease.
