Beauty is MORE Then Skin Deep
When do you feel most beautiful? All dressed up? Fresh from the salon? Just out of the shower? Or do you feel most beautiful when someone else says you are? Our society has trained us to look at magazines and TV ads to see what beautiful is and then compare ourselves to this unrealistic definition. We look for outside validation to know how beautiful we are from our men, our girlfriends, our families. Instead of trusting ourselves to see what is radiant and beautiful inside of us.
What makes a woman beautiful anyway? Many of us have a definition of beauty on the outside. We want look a certain way to feel good about ourselves yet it is important that we also see our true core beauty and uniqueness. For it is inside the heart of Every Woman that her true beauty begins. How do we let her shine through?
We begin by knowing who we really are. At our center each of us has qualities, talents and a special spark that makes us light up. Those things that we love to do, talk about and experience are the ones that draw out our glow. Have you ever seen someone really excited about an accomplishment or a discovery and the way their eyes sparkle? That is because they have connected with passion and it just lights them up! You can light up, too.
If your To Do list is filled with ways that you take care of others, stop and think about how you take care of you. When you are on a plane they tell you that in an emergency you need to give oxygen to yourself first, then help others around you. So it should be in life! Do something you love to do. Write a story, spend time in the garden. Go to an art show. Take time for you. Be pampered. Making an appointment for a massage or a pedicure will feel good not just for the results, but for the feeling of being taken care of. When we allow ourselves to receive, we feel loved and when we feel loved, we shine.
You don’t love a woman because she is beautiful, she is beautiful because you love her. Show yourself some love!
Each of us is a phenomenal, beautiful woman with unique qualities, features, style and grace. Look in the mirror and truly see what your beauty is and tell yourself out loud I am beautiful. Do this every day. See it every day and you will grow more confident and it will show through to the world. There is nothing more beautiful than a confident woman. Go deep to find the one in you.
