The Feng Shui Bagua

The bagua is a symbolic map
that is placed over your space that represents all life issues. The sectors have popular names: Career,
Knowledge, Family, Prosperity, Fame, Relationship, Children & Joy, Helpful
People and Travel. The Center represents
health. You can place the bagua on your land, your house, every room in your
house, your desktop and tabletops, and even on your car.

To lay the bagua on your space, take your floor plan and draw a box around it. The box might be a square or a rectangle, depending on the shape of your house. Small areas that extend out are called projections and they can be outside the main box. Next draw a grid of 9 boxes or a tic-tac-toe board over your floor plan.

The Career or
Opportunities gua relates to your passion in life. Energize this area for your job or career, if
you are changing jobs or looking for a new job or if you would like to create
more opportunities for you or your family.

The Knowledge and
Self-Cultivation gua relates to wisdom and knowing what to do in life.
Energize this area for study, self development, creative solutions and
creativity.

The Family and Ancestors gua is about your roots. This area
relates to connections with your parents, grandparents, siblings and relatives.
It is also about your past and where you came from.

The Wealth and Abundance gua is about
recognizing the blessings in your life, showing appreciation for them and being
philanthropic or giving to others. When
you do this, money flows more easily. If
you are stressed and worried about not having enough money, then that is what
continues to happen.

The Fame & Reputation
gua relates to how you are viewed publicly.
This area is about illumination or brightly shining your light. In other words, calling attention to
yourself. Energize this area if you would like to be more well-known or if you
would like publicity for any endeavor.

The Relationship and Partnership gua relates to partnerships
with others, romantic relationships and marriage. Energize this area if you
would like to strengthen or your marriage or partnership or attract a special
partner.

The Children and Joy
gua relates to bringing more joy to your life and also what you give birth to
(children, endeavors, businesses). This area also relates to the future and
retirement years.

The Helpful People &
Travel gua is about help from seen and unseen teachers, mentors, guides,
professionals, friends and family and special assistants. It is about the right
people showing up at the right time. It also relates to travel and places you
want to visit.

The Center gua is about being healthy, centered and being
grounded. It is about bringing balance
to your life.
