Are Angels Real?
The question is posed here as if
only one answer will suffice and that’s usually when there is a
disagreement. Perhaps it comes closer if the definition of an angel is
considered. Yet here again there would be many definitions of an angel
I suppose. Through the ages I think people were painting and writing
about angels trying not only to show how angels looked but how they
felt to the person. People were trying to show that it was an
overwhelming experience.
When people die heaven is the destination of belief. So the soul goes
to another place and maybe now is called an angel. Many people I have
talked with have at sometime or another felt a presence of a loved one
that has past, or something has happened where they felt they were
watched over. That would indicate that souls are not so far away from
the still living here on earth.
Each person has a soul inside and this soul is really the life of the
person. When a person dies the body really does look like a an empty
shell. To me these souls would become angels as they learn even more
about the universe. I don’t think that would look any particular way
but instead would be what a person seeing or felling an angel would
understand. It might be that when painting in past times were done of
angels, that is what people saw or felt and it would not be the same
today.
If people accept that the soul is an actual being then it makes sense
that there are angels. It also makes sense that these spirits would go
on and perhaps visit at times. One way I have looked at it is when love
is involved. Two people love each other, let’s say a whole lot, and
something separates them. Whether that be a death or even going way, or
a break up there is a feeling of tearing apart. Where does that come
from? In my mind it is the separating of souls that have messed so to
speak. Each person must take the soul with them and thus the parts that
combined have to separate. And it hurts. Even when just apart from each
other there is a missing of the connection.
Are angels real? To say no I believe says that souls are not believed
in. That the soul is not considered to be alive and that in death that
it does not go somewhere else. That is just something that is foreign
to me. I don’t know if all souls become angels, if there is a
difference or not. But I like to think that they do. Instead of being
called a human when they are here in this world, the name simply
changes when they go to the other world.
