The Keys to Happiness

There was a joke in the old days that if you are down in the dumps, you were to go buy a new hat. However, the hat did not seem to keep me happy. In the past, the belief was that happiness came from those people and things around me. Girls would find happiness in marriage. Fifty years ago, I married believing I would now be happy. My husband’s job was to make my life wonderful. In addition, thinking that children would fill that emptiness inside was a common thought. Those fantasies lead me into painful learning experiences.
